Artist statement:
The subconscious book tells us a story about my motivation of my existence without awareness, it has a connection with a previous study at the science department in the high school in Turkey and when I discovered various metal printing blocks used for printing science books in a flea market in Prague. It was an exciting motivation for me to discover this blocks, and then I decided to make this project and turn it into an art book as my subconscious. I used different techniques for the project as printmaking, paintings and transfer techniques in my own original contex. Also I transferred my own portrait photos as collage techniques in some parts of the pages. Whole pages made from canvas I left some empty spaces in the book, to represent how I cannot reach all parts of my subconscious.
